Inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy and pedagogy, our educators take the time to observe, listen and understand what captures each child’s curiosity, using these moments as the starting point for meaningful learning experiences that grow and evolve alongside them.
A fascination with building might become an exploration of balance and gravity. A question about worms might spark a week of discovery in the garden. Learning begins with the child’s curiosity, with educators thoughtfully extending each experience to deepen understanding, encourage new possibilities and nurture a lifelong love of learning.

Learning taken properly outdoors. Children explore the natural environment, take safe risks, and build the confidence that only comes from real space to move.
Kindy Science

Yoga
Through gentle movement, mindful breathing and moments of stillness, yoga helps children build body awareness, confidence and emotional balance while learning to find calm in their busy little worlds.

Hello families, my name is Jessica. I'm thrilled to be leading the team here at Smart Tots Capalaba, and I feel genuinely privileged to support our youngest learners and their families as they begin their learning journeys.
I've spent many years in early childhood education, including several in leadership, and I understand how much a welcoming, inclusive environment matters.
What I value most is the strong sense of community here and the partnerships we build with families, because it's through those connections that every child feels valued, heard and actively involved in their own learning.
My door is always open for a yarn, a question, or a chat about your child's growth and development. Together, let's keep building a place where our little ones feel safe, confident and excited to learn.
People Who Make Belonging Happen
In a centre this size, your child isn't a face in a crowd. Our educators know every child here, their interests, their comfort object, what makes them laugh, what they're working on this week.
Every educator holds at least a nationally recognised early childhood qualification as required under the National Quality Framework, with Diploma-qualified and Bachelor-qualified team members across the centre. All hold current Blue Cards and up-to-date first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training.
We invest in keeping our team here long-term, because children thrive on familiarity. A stable team means the educator who settled your baby in the nursery is still there to wave them off to Prep.

The centre provides long daycare and early education from infancy through to kindergarten and school-going age, with age-appropriate studios and programmes for each stage.
Smart Tots Capalaba is open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, giving families flexibility around work and daily routines.
